    Party wall surveys & Awards

The role of the Party Wall surveyor is to protect the interest of the affected buildings and to agree methods of working that will protect the parties concerned. This quasi-judicial role requires a strong but tactful negotiator with a deep understanding of the relevant law and practice. We are Chartered Surveyors, regulated by the RICS. Why choose us?

Was Sir Christopher Wren an architect or a surveyor or a fusion of both?
We think that like us he was a fusion of both, although we don’t claim any of our projects to be as grand as his. However, there are similarities because like him we look after the fabric of buildings, we prepare alteration and improvement schemes as well as design extensions and new buildings.

A quick look at our clients shows the depth, breadth and quality of those that we are proud to have served. The list is not complete; there are many private and commercial clients that do not fall into an easy category. For some the relationship spans several decades and even several generations; we are grateful to them all for their repeat instructions and the recommendations they provide.

They keep up to date through continuing professional development with changes in the law, in practice and in the building regulations.

We have a huge range of experience, working with a variety of building types and services offered. The buildings range from offices, shops, factories, schools and libraries to pubs, clubs, farmhouses, farm buildings, houses and flats of all types including historic buildings. Whilst our services range from building surveys, defects inspections, repair and refurbishment projects, dilapidation claims, party wall and boundary matters, estimating, cost planning, specifications and bills of quantities, contract documents, measured term and design and build contracts, project coordination, contract administration, dispute resolution, feasibility studies, new build, alterations and extensions, barn conversions and much, much more.

Because we encompass building surveying, quantity surveying and architecture we are able to offer a wide range of services to a great many clients. A quick look at our clients will give you an idea of the range and type of client that we are proud to have served. The list is not complete, there are many other private and commercial clients that do not fall into an easy category. For some the relationship spans several decades and even several generations; we are grateful to them for their repeat instructions and the recommendations they provide.

We tend to adopt a team approach to most of our work that brings together our skills and experience with that of our clients. We adopt the same team approach with other professionals including the building team so that together we deliver what the client wants.

For most instructions we endeavour to agree a fixed fee; however, there are some matters where the extent of the work is unknown and the best and most fair way forward is to agree a time charge. If you have a project and would like to discuss, without obligation, what you have in mind and the fees that we charge then please contact us as soon as possible.
