Our client acquired this site with the benefit of planning consent and wanted to build out the scheme as quickly as possible.  We suggested tendering on the basis of a design and build contract.

With our client we drafted the ‘Employer’s Requirement’ setting out the design criteria, specification and quality standards.  The document was tendered with the planning drawings and a contractor appointed.

We then acted as QS Employer’s Agent overseeing the work, ensuring compliance with the contract documents and authorising payments.
