In part dating from the early 1800’s this 5-bedroom house has been substantially altered and extended over the years.  In addition to the main house the property as a whole includes a separate 2-bedroom cottage and other useful outbuildings.

Apart from the normal concerns that a buyer might have our client was particularly concerned about the condition of the dormers and the large flat roof areas.  The survey revealed that the flat roofs were indeed breaking down and that renewal was necessary.  Other issues included a lack of damp proof courses and decay in joinery, but fortunately there was no evidence of any significant structural defects.
