Our client acquired this site with the benefit of planning consent and a contractor who had started preliminary works.  We suggested negotiating with the contractor on the basis of a design and build contract.

With our client we drafted the ‘Employer’s Requirement’ setting out the design criteria, specification and quality standards.  The contractor responded with his proposals and a priced document.

We then acted as QS Employer’s Agent overseeing the work, ensuring compliance with the contract documents and authorising payments.
